How to Add Your Business Email (info@yourdomain.com) to Gmail – Full Step-by-Step Guide
Want to manage your professional emails more efficiently? In this step-by-step guide, you’ll learn how to use your domain email in Gmail — allowing you to send and receive messages directly from your Gmail account using your business address (like info@yourdomain.com). We’ll walk you through the exact process to connect your cPanel email to Gmail, and show you how to send email from Gmail using your business email. Whether you’re a beginner or just looking for a more streamlined workflow, this guide has everything you need.
Step 1: Log in to Your Gmail Account
- Open Gmail and log in to the account you want to use.
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner and choose See all settings.

Step 2: Add Your Domain Email Address (for Receiving Email)
- Go to the Accounts and Import tab.
- In the Check mail from other accounts section, click Add a mail account.
- Enter your domain email address (e.g.,
info@yourdomain.com
) and click Next. - Choose Import emails from my other account (POP3) and click Next again.

Step 3: Configure Receiving Settings (POP3)
Fill in your email login details. You can get these from your hosting provider or cPanel:
- Username: Your full email address (e.g., hello@yourdomain.com)
- Password: The email password you set in cPanel
- POP Server: Usually mail.yourdomain.com
- Port: Typically 995 (check your host’s instructions)
- Check Always use a secure connection (SSL)
Important Note:
If you don’t want emails to stay on your hosting server (to save space and security), uncheck the option:
Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server
Click Add Account when finished.

Step 4: Enable Sending from Gmail Using Your Domain Email
After adding the account, Gmail will ask if you want to send mail as this address.
Select “Yes, I want to be able to send mail as info@yourdomain.com” and click Next Step.

In this section, enter any name you would like in the “Name:” field. Please note that any email sent from this address will appear with this name in the recipient’s inbox. You can edit this field later if needed.

Step 5: Configure Outgoing Settings (SMTP)
Enter the SMTP details for sending email:
- SMTP Server: Usually mail.yourdomain.com
- Port: 465 or 587 (based on your host’s recommendation)
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: The same password used in cPanel
- Choose Secured connection using SSL
Click Add Account when you’re done.

Step 6: Verify Ownership
Gmail will send a verification code to info@yourdomain.com.
Since Gmail is now checking that inbox, you should receive the code shortly.
Either enter the code manually or click the verification link in the email.
It may take a few minutes to receive the confirmation email.

Final StOnce verified, Gmail will be fully connected.
